On your marks, get set, go Rehab...
Radio Stars make final call for women to
join them in running for Rehab
Rehab's "radio star" ambassadors are calling on women across
the country to dust of their running shoes and join them
in representing Rehab in this year's Flora Women's Mini Marathon before it's
too late!
Today FM's Alison Curtis, RTE 2FM's Nikki Hayes, Newstalk's
Orla Barry and iRADIO's Louise McSharry and Nadia Sakni
are urging aspiring runners, walkers or even crawlers to enter by 21st April
in
order to secure their place at the starting line and
help raise much-needed funds for HeadsUp, Rehab's suicide prevention and
mental health promotion
programme for young people.
Specifically aimed at young people between 15 and 24
years of age, HeadsUp promotes positive mental health
and provides information
and support to those in need. This year, it needs to
raise more than 200,000 to keep its services up and
running.
The closing date for mini marathon entries is Tuesday,
21st April, or perhaps even earlier if all the places
are filled. Anyone interested in participating in the
mini marathon or supporting Rehab
should contact Kate Ryan of Rehab on (01) 2057 231
or by email at kate.ryan@rehab.ie
